How to change photos into black & white with a little colour..(Corel Paint Shop Pro)?

I have just downloaded 30 day trial for Corel Pain Shop Pro - I want to create photos in black and white and add a touch of colour to the photo...I am having no luck...if any one could help and simplify as best as possible I would appreciate it...thanksHow to change photos into black %26amp; white with a little colour..(Corel Paint Shop Pro)?

Its called selective colouring.

Open pic, duplicate layer.

Transform to B%26amp;W.

Merge.

Use background eraser on parts you want to colour or to have B%26amp;W.

open image.

copy

select greyscale

select increase colour depth to 16.8m

and paste as new layer



now, we can either place a mask (use lasso tool-point to point, or edge finder) and delete, or get the eraser and spend a happy 10 minutes erasing the colour layer, to expose the B/W layer beneath.



it just takes a bit of practice.
