I'm not very familiar with adobe photoshop editor 2.0, but this is how you make a picture black and white with some of its original color:
Open the picture you want to edit in photoshop. Select the entire picture, then copy it.
Ex out of the original picture, and paste the copy into a new canvas. This is better than screwing around with your original picture.
Create a new layer that is on top of your picture. Paste the picture on this new layer. So you have the same picture for two layers.
Now when you have the top layer selected, go to: enhance %26gt;%26gt; color %26gt;%26gt; remove color. the top image will be completely black and white.
Now, still on the black and white layer, take your eraser tool, and ';erase'; the black and white off of the area where you want the original color to show.
By eraseing the top layer of black and white, the color photo underneith will show through only where you want it to.
Well, thats how I do it, at least. I hope that helps a little :)Changing photos (for myspace?) ?
There should be a tab that says ';Layers'; in the photoshop window.
Click on that, and it will show you your layers.
To select a layer, just click on it once, and it will have a blue outline or something to show that it is selected.
and your welcome :)

in photoshop change the colour mode of the picture from RGB to greyscale.
