Make sure that you have updated your computer system via Windows Update or Apple System Update/Software Update, including Adobe Flash Player (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ ) for your web browser. Also, make sure that your browser allows pop-up windows from the Yahoo! Profiles service. When you click the ';Change Photo'; button, the Y!Profiles page should gray out and a pop-up window should appear with further options. Otherwise, you should try doing this through a different web browser or even a different computer than what you've been using. - Go to http://profiles.yahoo.com and complete the setup process if you haven't already. See http://help.yahoo.com/tutorials/prof/pro for a tutorial. Note that if you choose to hide your profile (http://help.yahoo.com/tutorials/prof/pro ) that may prevent the image from showing up on Yahoo! Answers.
- Mouseover the picture area in the Profile Card (top left box). Click the ';Change Photo'; link.
- Click the ';Add Photo'; link
- Click the ';Browse'; button to the right of the text field. A window should pop-up that allows you to search your computer files for a JPEG or PNG-formatted image under 5MB in file size to upload. Select the image file name and click the ';Open'; button on the popup box. In area #2, enter the text displayed in the box into the text field. Then, click the gold rectangular button that says ';Upload';.
- The window will refresh, and you will need to crop the image. Click and drag on corner boxes to extend the cropping box or click within the box and drag to move it. - Click the gold rectangular button that says ';Crop'; when you are done.
- The window refreshes. Click on the image that you want to use. Click the gold rectangular button that says ';Use this Selected Photo';.
- Click ';My Profile'; to the upper right of this Yahoo! Answers page, then click ';Edit My Info'; in the top left box on the Answers profile page.
- In the ';Picture'; section, choose the ';Use my Profiles image'; option. You should choose that option whether the image is showing there or not.
- Click the ';Preview'; button, then the ';Ok'; button.
- If you are able to select the ';Use my Profiles image'; option, the image may not show up right away. You will need to wait for the image to appear or try refreshing your web page. If the option doesn't appear or work, contact Yahoo! Profile staff via the Help Form.
