i just got a new website and i want to add more pics in there ,but when i resize them they become very bad so can somebody help me please. i need 115/110 for small and 348/315 for big photoHow should i change photo's size to put on website without loosing the quality?
I want to point out that when resizing a picture of any kind, it will cause blurring effects, and you will lose the quality.

Suggestions of how to do this so not to lose too much quality.

If you can re scan the images in, and scan them in at a high resolution.

- Resolution:

If you just want the pictures for the web site, and nothing else, then scan them in at 300 DPI. Then if your paint / photo program allows you to resize the picture, you should keep the same real dimensions, as in 3 inch wide by 5 inch high (that is only an example) but change the DPI (Dots Per Inch) to 72 DPI.

300 DPI is for printing purposes, and 72 DPI is for computer viewing purposes. This will give you an image at the real size, but does not help you with reducing it.

Ok, to reduce it, you could do the same thing, only extending it. Scan the image in at 300 DPI, then change it to the required size in pixels, ie 348 / 315 or 115 / 110. Then change the DPI of the picture while keeping the same actual size (in inches) of the picture.

Note: You are most likely always going to lose quality when reduing a picture. Using techniques similar to this can limit the amount of quality lost. You may also want to fiddle around with different DPI to see what loses the most. You could start with 1200 DPI or higher, but you must always have 72 DPI for a web page, etc.How should i change photo's size to put on website without loosing the quality?
there's this program called IrfanView. it's actually really good. it's free. i downloaded it while trying to resize a photo for one of my sites. i'm sure if you google it you can get the download site.
How are you resizing your pictures? I use MS office picture manager and it works great for me. I don't loose the quality of the picture. Also, used MS Paint with no problem.
make sure your picture is in large resolution and adjust the size on adobe photoshop.

It will be a bit blur because compressing images occur on the JPEG
you can use Photoshop program, that you after finishing your picture pull down menu file--%26gt; save for web, and play with its options.
