How do you get those cool cartoon people as your picture?

ok, so, this might sound dumb, but i just got an account on here and i really want one of those cool cartoons to be my picture...but every time i click 'change photo' it says i have to upload one, and i don't want an acctual photo of me, just one of those cartoons....how do i get one?How do you get those cool cartoon people as your picture?
HINT: To remember all the steps at once, copy and paste the steps into an e-mail to yourself, or create a Notepad document of them, or leave the instructions open in a tab while you go through all the steps so you don't miss anything. Or print a hard copy and keep it handy.

There are many many choices in styles appearances and colors - you can save more than one choice. Remember to SAVE it. Select the picture (avatar), Click 'use picture', then Save and Exit. There are many choices to be made, but remember to save your final choice.



* Return to the Yahoo Answers site: http://answers.yahoo.com

* To activate this avatar on YA site: left click, in order:

… your current avatar or YA name

… ‘Edit My Info’ next to your avatar.

… browse and select which avatar you want to use.

… ‘Preview’ (bottom),

... then OK.



*OR for Messenger:

… your current avatar or name

… select ‘Share my Picture'’ next to your avatar.

… click the suggested pictures box

... browse your files

... highlight and open the file

… then OK.



P.S.: Mine also shows up in the main Messenger program, because I used another technique. Open the Messenger, click Messenger tab %26gt; My Display Image %26gt; Share My Avatar.

go to MY PROFILE



click on EDIT MY INFO



under the PICTURE heading



click on EDIT MY YAHOO AVATAR under USE MY YAHOO AVATAR



hit PREVIEW to see your changes



hit OK



There you go....
