How do i change photos into black and white, but that that gray black and white?

I want to change my photos into black and white but not that white and gray one, Like its changes some of the light of it to black and some to white? Its hard to explain but i wanna no what program i can use to do that? If ya understand that is.

do you mean the photo only has pure black dots/pixels or pure white dots/pixels, so no grey, just pure black and pure white areas?



if thats what you are looking for i know how to do it in adobe photoshop (other image manipulation programs may be slightly different,)



go to image-%26gt; mode --%26gt; greyscale (and discard colour info)

then image-%26gt; mode--%26gt; bitmap, and change the resolution to be about 200-300 and the method to 50% threshold

then go to image-%26gt; mode -%26gt; greyscale again (this is so you can save it as a jpeg or another common format)



i think you might be able to do this with a filter but i cant remember which one, i hope this is what you were looking for
