How do i change the format for a picture?

how do i change the format for a picture?

i have a bunch of family photos and im trying to make a disc for my dad, but i need to change the photo formats from *BMP to *JPEG i just need a simple answerHow do i change the format for a picture?
Any photo editing software that supports both BMP and JPEG can do the conversion.

Just open each photo, do any editing, and click Save As. You will see a drop-down menu to select the output file type; select JPEG.

Another screen will ask you the desired relative file size (Small to Large) or the Quality level. For this purpose, choose Largest files or Highest Quality.

You will have to do each photo separately unless your software allows batch conversions.

The use of BMP for old family photos is unusual. If this came from a scanning process, you may be able to set the scanner to output JPEG next time.

Open them in your pic program and ';save as'; another file format. ';save as'; .jpg .. :)
open the photos in ';paint';

Then press SAVE AS

Then select filetype to save as

JPEG will be an option

This will take awhile and its annoying but picture conversion software really sucks
