In the image size under (i think its file) change the resolution to at least 600dpi the file will automatically be bigger with better resolution and quality. How can you change a photo in photoshop to 1mb?
either by changing the size higher or lower, or the pixels higher or lower, and may vary on what format, and compression ratio, jpg, tiff, gif, those also have an effect on the quality on output,

lets say its a jpg and image is 10mb in pixels, but only 150k as a file, to lower 10mb under 1mb, you would change resolution to 72 from 300, and save copy, if you wanted to increase from 150k to 1mb, you would increase image 10 times it's size, and possibly crash computer if free space isn't allocated properly on drive, so be careful that way,

..
I am guessing that your current file size is going to be around 20mb? Assuming you want to keep the dpi at 300 then you need to save the file as a jpg file. It will ask you what quality to save it as, set it at medium (5) and it should come in under 1mb.
