How do you change digital photo pixel size?

I need to decrease the pixel size of a digital photo. Does anyone know how to do this? ThanksHow do you change digital photo pixel size?
Download the free and simple Infraview photo editor at the link. Then open your pic with it and go to 'image', 'resize/resample' and pick the picture size you want. You can also adjust the file size as you save it after resizing to suit your purpose.

I use 800 x 600 for pc viewing. A good file size for email is 800 x 600 = 48 kb, as a pc cannot use any more pixels than that for that picture size. How do you change digital photo pixel size?
And another cool free program

and picasa

I was going to say the same thing graymatters said but fotoace beat him to it. Anyway, the program in the first post is Irfanview. I've used it for bulk conversions and it works really cool because it can rename the files and stuff too automatically. I did a time lapse job so I had several hundred pictures to convert and Irfanview was perfect.
I was going to say the same exact thing fhotoace said
Hi, Picasa resizes them and also adds to emails, it's 100 % free and a snip to use.

if you want to have a go here it is

Don't do it in your camera. Use the highest resolution for your images ... then make them smaller using the program that came with the camera ... and Save the smaller ones as a different name.

There is no reason to degrade the images your camera is capable of making. Why then did you spend the bigger dollars for a good camera?
