How do I change a photo to black and white with no gray in it?

It has to be a black and white photo with no gray because I am going to be making shirts with the photo for my art class. Anyone know how to do that? How do I change a photo to black and white with no gray in it?
I can tell you how in Photoshop, I don't know about any other programs. When the photo is opened, just go to Image - Adjustments - Threshold. This converts the photo to pure black and white with no greyscale. There is an adjustment slider that will allow you to vary the intensity of the effect.

If you do not have Photoshop, send the photo to me and I will do it for you, as it only takes a few seconds.
