How do i Change the Photo Background to black instead of normal colours?

What Software? How ? Websites? Whats It Called? How do i Change the Photo Background to black instead of normal colours?
You could of course buy Photoshop.

Although, since that is so expensive, there is always illegal downloading.

If you want a free, legal alternative, there is a program called Gimp and although I don't have much experience with it myself I have heard many good reviews on it.How do i Change the Photo Background to black instead of normal colours?
The easiest way is to shoot with the subject against a chroma key background, then any background can be later inserted into either the blue or green channel of a RGB image.

To remove a subject from a scene (including ';normal' colours) is to use the magnetic lasso in Photoshop (only $700 at your nearest software retail store) to cut the subject out of the original file and copy it to a canvas of what ever colour you choose.

Considering the learning curve and cost of the software necessary to do this, just reshooting against a chroma key background is a lot less complicated or just be aware of the background when you are shooting your subjects.
Google Paint.NET

Download it.

Open it up.

Paste your picture onto the background layer

use lassoo, select around part of photo you want to keep

Push Ctrl + I to invert selection

push ctrl + shift + n (new layer)

Then find the fill button, click black and fill in background

done
