How can I change a photo or graphic to JPEG?

If I get a photo from the email, How can I convert it to a jpeg format?

Do I need special software?

Thanks

Open it with image editing software ... windows has Paint and the Fax Image Editor (I think it's called), and ';save as'; jpeg

Or you could download GIMPHow can I change a photo or graphic to JPEG?
This is a good answer (I do it all the time, and it's quick and easy). I'd AVOID GIMP, unless you're REALLY into --and good at--manipulating graphics, etc. It takes up lots of time, is slow and not that easy to learn. (My kid insists on having it, but it drives me crazy!).

it should do what you want
save as JPEG. its that simple. Just open it with an editing program Paint is easiest the n you go to file%26gt;save as then when the box comes up use the drop down box to save it as a JPEG
I just open it with Paint under Program Accessories...and then SAVE AS gives you an option to what type of file you want to save it as then select JPEG.....SIMPLE
Right click the photo and click edit. It should open in Paint. Click File, then Save As, then under file type choose JPG or jpeg. That's it.
No, you don't.

All you have to do is open up any image editor, and either ';Save As...'; a JPEG, or better yet, ';Export'; if you have the option.

If you use paint, you can only select ';Save As...'; and then select JPEG from the drop down menu below the filename.
It is likely already in JPEG format, you just need to save it from inside your email into a file.

Assuming you are running windows and not on a Mac:

right-click on the picture, look for a 'save as...' or 'save picture as' option.

if the default name of the file ends in .jpg, it is already in jpeg format.

if it is something different (like .png or .gif), save it anyway then open it up in windows paint. then save it out again and choose JPEG as the format for the output.
G'day Phil. If you are using Windows all you need do is select the photo or graphic-%26gt;Right Click to Copy (or Edit-%26gt;Copy-depending on what year you have), go to Start-%26gt;Programs-%26gt;Accessories-%26gt;Open Paint and Edit-%26gt; Paste. Then Save As-%26gt;give it a name-%26gt;down below select JPG or JPEG format and Save to a folder somewhere. If you have MS Publisher you can paste it in Publisher %26amp; change the size of it, then do the above things and go to Paint to convert it.
